Slezskou Ostravou po žluté (On the yellow route through Silesian Ostrava)

Route description:

The yellow tourist route begins at the Antonín Dvořák Theatre in the centre of Ostrava, and continues to the Černá louka Exhibition Centre and to Havlíčkovo nábřeží Waterfront to the Hradní lávka Bridge. Cross the Ostravice River to the Silesian Ostrava Castle, where you can take some time to tour its exhibits. The route then continues past the central Jewish cemetery, from where you can head to ZOO Ostrava, which is the second largest zoo in the Czech Republic in terms of its size. The yellow route will then take you all the way to Terezie Ema Mound. Although this cone-shaped mound (a protected monument) still emits gases from beneath, their concentrations are not high. The views from the mound are stunning – you will have the entire Ostrava Basin at your fingertips.
