DAY 1: Biking Across the Czech Republic with the Travel Vlogger

Route description:

This journey begins with a trip to Seeberg Castle, dating back to the late 12th or early 13th century. Here, Brian (and friends) learn the value and importance of porcelain in this region. Next up is Komorní hůrka, the Czech Republic’s youngest volcano. Its appearance may be surprising, but its importance to scientists outweighs its size.

In Cheb, the team is instantly charmed by its monastery garden, historic buildings, and tiny side streets measuring just an arms length across. The Travel Vloggers stumble upon a medieval fair and enjoy some local food including koláče (a traditional Czech pastry), some “liquid bread”, and roast duck with dumplings for lunch. Our adventurers return to Františkovy Lázně, where Czech speakers will enjoy a non-native speaker’s attempts at pronunciation (A for effort!).

This route is perfect for cyclists who enjoy a bit of science, gorgeous views, and good food. Next up, Brian’s journey continues to Karlvoy Vary via another charming Czech town.
