15 km | 3 hours | Family, Active

To the top of the highest peak in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands

Route description:

Javořice Mountain stretches to a height of 837 metres above sea level. On a rocky prominence in the surrounding landscape stand the ruins of Štamberk Castle, whose downfall can reportedly be blamed on the Hussites, and the Štamberk and Stone Sea National Natural Monument also unfolds across the surrounding area. The town of Řásná lies eight kilometres north-west of Telč, and will enchant you with its historical monuments that are included in the UNESCO list. The north-west end of the town square boasts a château with remarkable Renaissance halls that house exhibits by the Vysočina Museum of Jihlava on the first floor of the south-western wing. You can also visit the Technical Museum or the Panský dvůr Leisure Time Centre.
